科幻片

　　50年代，美国拍了《原子怪兽》，日本拍了《哥斯拉》，50年代末期英国又趁热打铁拍了《海底巨兽》。1961年又和米高梅合拍了《巨兽格果》。　　《巨兽格果》不像其他怪兽电影那样，怪兽开头都是神龙见首不见尾，最后城市大战时露个全身。本片中怪兽破坏的镜头完完全全的展现在观众面前，拆了伦敦塔桥，还推到了大本钟。最后全凭两双大脚一路踩爆房屋，砖瓦四溅，相当过瘾。本片讲述了人类抓到了一只可爱的小怪兽——格果，然后把它关进马戏团里，哪知道后来把怪兽老娘惹来了…

　　第二次世界大战过后已经16年了，但是各个大国之间的关系的政治纠纷没有结束，逐渐分成联邦营（资本主义）和同盟营（共产主义）两大派别，韩战结束后南北朝鲜协定北纬38度线为界，虽是这样，苏联对美国的核子战争将会一触即发，使得世界上所有人民都人心恍恍。　　同盟营的舰队在北太平洋进行演习，这时联邦营的导弹潜水艇突然进入同盟国的演习地区，和同盟军潜艇产生冲突事件。两方的导弹基地也相继引发误射导弹发射命令和核爆事件，所幸最后无任何危机产生。　　然而两大阵营的紧张的气氛终于爆发，两方空军于北极白令海上空开打，两方也都让各基地的导弹发射，展开了全面核战争，最后日本东京以及各国城市被轰炸成一片焦土和死寂

　　一个希腊渔民救起了一位公主，原来她是来自科技高度发达的亚特兰蒂斯，并送其返回祖国，希望能够得到奖赏，然而却被囚禁，成为劳工。　　国王被一个邪恶的巫师操纵，企图使用亚特兰蒂斯的某种自然资源来征服世界。亚特兰蒂斯人，确切地说是亚特兰蒂斯的奴隶，被迫开采一种能够吸收太阳射线的水晶矿物，制造出可以发射热线的武器。由于腐朽和道德沦丧，国家已经处于毁灭前夕。　　疯狂科学家在实验室里将奴隶变成怪物，男主角为了争取自由，不得不在观众们的欢呼下与巨人搏斗，最后通过智取战胜了巨人。　　大毁灭即将到来，鸟兽纷纷逃离，在一个仁慈友善灵性高尚的大祭司的帮助下，男主角从巫师的魔咒中救出了公主，并在亚特兰蒂斯最后的大毁灭前逃脱。　　大祭司与巫师搏斗之时，水晶武器失去控制，最终将二人一同摧毁。地震，海啸，火山，幸存者逃至世界其他地方，用神话将亚特兰蒂斯的故事流传下去。

　　美国海军上校尼尔逊（沃尔特皮金饰）领导潜艇海景号在北极下探测时，地球突生危机，大气层被一股大火燃烧，令地球极速升温，地球上干旱无雨，顿诚人间炼狱。科学家主张纷歧，尼尔逊决定由海景号发射核子飞弹，让其在大气层外爆炸以期熄灭大火，令地球降温。为求能够快速解决这个问题，尼尔逊毅然由船员自愿选择是留在船上还是继续前进，但是在全世界都没有办法的情况下，只有听命于尼尔逊的这个计划了……

　　Shipwreck survivors are found on Beiru Island (Infanto tô), which was previously used for atomic tests. The interior is amazingly free of radiation effects, and they believe that they were protected by a special juice that was given to them by the island's residents. A joint expedition of Rolisican and Japanese scientists explores Beiru and discovers many curious things, including two women only one foot (30 centimeters) high. Unscrupulous expedition leader Clark Nelson abducts the women and puts them in a vaudeville show. But their sweet singing contains a telepathic cry for help to Mothra, a gigantic moth that is worshiped as a deity by the island people. The giant monster heeds the call of the women and heads to Tokyo, wreaking destruction in its path.

　　During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. Clamen <clamen@cs.cmu.edu>　　In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago.
